One of the greatest things that a dyslexia tutor can help instill in a child is confidence. Often, children with dyslexia suffer from a lack of confidence and self-esteem. This typically is a result of them struggling academically and thinking that they are not “smart”. If they have not worked with a dyslexia tutor, they may not realize the progress that they are capable of making, or even the fact that dyslexia is simply a learning difference. A dyslexia child may not know that it’s possible to be very smart and dyslexic.
Dyslexia tutoring can help restore a child’s confidence by giving them hope for their future and success with reading, writing and spelling. Once a dyslexic child has the tools to make progress, they begin to see what’s possible for them.
